Delta Zeta sisters make up a broad spectrum of identities and viewpoints, and that's part of what makes the sisterhood experience so enriching. While the sisterhood is composed of like-minded women with shared values and goals, the sorority always strives to cultivate and celebrate the uniqueness of its members.
The sisterhood provides a support network to both women who are mere minutes or long hours away from home. Having a home — a family — while away at college can make all the difference. With sisters by your side and code to follow, the world becomes easier to navigate.
Members are always encouraged to strive for the highest merit in scholarship. Delta Zeta works to foster an attitude of studiousness and a desire for wisdom among its members. The sorority provides programs and events that encourage growth mindsets among the women and reward their hard work and achievements. Academic excellence is celebrated with the presentation of a pearl dangle to affix to the woman's membership badge, signifying her achievement to all.
Delta Zeta strives to prepare its members to become the best future leaders that they are capable of becoming. We recognize that in order to be a good leader, the women must be well-rounded individuals capable of time management, so each member is required to participate in at least one other campus organization.
Pi Chi's sisters comprise portions of the Student Government Association, the Campus Activities Board, Spirit Masters, Christian Student Fellowship, Student Rural Health Association, Beta Alpha Psi, Best Buddies, and more. Members also attend various seminars each semester to help them hone their leadership skills. Our members strive to effect positive change in themselves as well as those around them.
SERVICE AND PHILANTHROPY
Service another important aspect of membership. Being a sister of Delta Zeta is a huge privilege, so our women are always eager to give back, and "to give graciously what is mine." Delta Zeta believes in leadership, and the best leaders are those who strive to serve others. Members are required to give a certain number of their hours in service each semester, both to the benefit of the community and toward one of our philanthropies.
The power of women to effect change has been seen since the beginning of time and today, we see it in our efforts to foster speech and hearing programs.
Delta Zeta is one of the largest sororities in the nation, making its pool of active and alumnae women expansive. It is this sorority's belief that membership extends far beyond collegiate years, and that once a woman becomes a sister, she is a sister for life. This mentality has built an extensive pool of actives and alumnae, which allows plenty of opportunities for guidance and mentoring.
